Blake
Blake is humble, but he knows you'll love his blonde hair, his beautiful brown eyes and his freckles! This little boy will fit in and be loved in any family. Kids, cats, horses, chickens, throw what you want at Blake and he does well with them!
Blake is super sweet and friendly with everyone, he sits like a gentleman and gives sweet kisses, and he loves to play with the big and little dogs at the barn with his foster mom. Blake is solidly housebroken and crate trained, and he's walking well on the leash. Blake will do great in a family with kids of any age, since he's sweet and mellow. He is also good with cats and likes to play with them. We think it would be best for Blake to go to a family with another dog, so he has a positive role model and "safety blanket" as he grows up because he is a little shy. Blake will make a very good family dog!
Puppies are a 10 to 15 year commitment. Please consider adoption carefully and make sure you're in a position to always have a home for your pet. Puppies require hours of attention and training every day. Their health care can be expensive and you can expect to pay over $1,000 a year to keep your pet fed and healthy.
If you would like to meet Blake, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.
Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.
The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
