Emma post-surgery 6.27.2007!

7.16.2007 LITTLE EMMA HAS SO MUCH HEART! Emma has now bounced back from a broken leg and pneumonia! She's playing like the six to seven month old puppy she is! This gorgeous, loving and mild mannered girl is ready to find her forever home. Look how beautiful she is, and she has a beautiful personality to match!
7.14.2007 POOR EMMA HAS PNEUMONIA!
The good news is Emma was seen by the vet post-surgery and her leg is great! She's using it more and more all the time. Poor little thing, just when she was feeling better, she developed a terrible deep cough. After x-rays, our vet determined she had pneumonia. Luckily we caught it early and she didn't have to stay in the hospital. More antibiotics for Ms. Emma. We just hope this is her last struggle before she's ready for her forever home! She still needs your help to pay off her bills.
6.25.2007 EMMA NEEDS HELP TO PAY FOR HER SURGERY! Baby Emma was found at the shelter, her back leg dangling loosely. She hopped over and wagged her tail at us. The shelter didn't know she was hurt, and its probably lucky they didn't. We were able to grab Emma and get her to safety. Emma was x-rayed and found to have completely broken her femur just below her hip joint. Emma had her surgery on June 25 and is doing well! She had the same surgery as if she had dysplasia and the prognosis is very good.
Emma will be going to swim therapy to learn to use her leg again, our vet thinks her leg was broken for a long time. Emma is one of the most darling six month old puppies we've seen. Despite the pain she must have been in, she's loving and kissy to dogs, kids, grown ups and even cats. We couldn't have left Emma behind to face certian death at the shelter. But now we need $1500 to pay for her surgery and therapy. She's a precious little thing and deserves a chance at a happy and pain free life, and again we must look to our supporters to help an innocent animal.
6.27.07 Emma is home!!. Emma is back in her foster home today, June 27! She's even put a little bit of weight on her leg, a very good sign! She and her human foster brother were very happy to see each other, even though they've only known each other since Saturday!
Please help Emma pay for her surgery by making a donation now.
