Henry was lost and was hit by a car. He waited for his family in the shelter for 19 days with a broken hip. When the shelter finally found a microchip and went looking for Henry's family, his family decided they didn't want to spend the money to save Henry's life.

Fortunately, with the help of FOCAS and Southern California German Shepherd Rescue volunteers, Henry was able to afford surgery to fix his hip. Henry is now a very happy puppy and his foster mom reports that he's full of energy and full of beans! We think Henry will do best in a home where he has companionship most of the time. He's wonderful with kids, cats and other dogs, and deserves a really great home.
