 Josie
Josie is a feminine, gorgeous classic German Shepherd girl. We don't often get dogs with such a sweet demeanor as Josie. Josie is the perfect example of a girl who was purchased impulsively as an adoreable puppy, and gradually her family lost interest in her.
Josie hasn't seen much of the world. She was frightened and cried heartbreakingly while riding in the car to her foster home. Josie came to us in an unforgivably skeletal condition. She was so happy to have her first meal in her foster home, we had to ration her food so she didn't get sick.
Josie hadn't been around other dogs and was afraid of them. She's made great progress and is now one of the most playful dogs in her foster home. Josie is just a beautiful little soul and all she needs is a loving family who will take her on walks, for short happy rides in the car, and continue her socialization. We feel so good when we can help a dog like Josie find a loving home! Because Josie can be cautious around rambunctious children, she will need older, gentle children or no children in her family until she learns the world is a happy place to be. Some patient and lucky family will adopt a very special girl.
