Juno
Juno and next dora candyland games her eleven tiny babies came to Southern California German Shepherd Rescue through a plea from the shelter. Animal control offices had gone to a deserted home at the request of neighbors, and found a young German Shepherd abandoned and starving, trapped in the yard. They also found that she had 11 tiny babies, no older than a day or two. SCGSR volunteers generously agreed to take in Juno and her babies and help raise them and bring Juno back to good health. Juno and her babies saga has been streamed live at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rescued-german-shepherd-with-eleven-puppies since they first entered foster care. We've had puppy lullabies, puppy bedtime stories and puppy naming ceremonies live on camera! Juno and her puppies are a web sensation!

Juno has been the very best mom, protective of her puppies even if it was overwhelming at times to have 11 hungry puppies coming at her for lunch. She has become a very pretty girl, she's gained weight and will be spayed soon. We've promised Juno the best home where she'll be spoiled rotten and loved for the rest of her life.

  • If you would like to meet Juno, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.

  • Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.

  • The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
