Kylie
Update 5.10.07 We laugh at ourselves! If you read below, you'll see we thought Kylie was shy. It's true that for the first few hours in her foster home she seemed shy. Once we coaxed Kylie out of her crate, she took over the world! Kylie is a cute little punkin who lays in wait for her foster brothers and sisters to drop a toy - then she scrambles like a swat team, grabs the toy and is gone! Seemingly a sweet southern belle and shy, timid girl, Kylie is really a very good actress. If left outside, even with other dogs, Kylie will jump a six foot fence and wait on the other side to be let back in. Kylie is completely housebroken, and crates very well, which is lucky because left in her yard, she would soon be found running for mayor. Crating is mandatory for this little love bug.

5.2.07 Poor little Kylie. Someone bred a litter of German Shepherd puppies. Unfortuately, like a lot of people who think that's a bright idea, they found out you can't always sell puppies for that big profit. So Kylie and her littermates remained in their yard until they were 9 months old! Fortunately for Kylie, a couple came along who adopted her, but they found out very quickly that their landlord wasn't happy with that arrangement. Thank goodness, and Kylie can thank her lucky stars, that they called SCGSR instead of taking Kylie to the shelter. She's too shy and inexperienced at the moment to have passed the shelter's temperment tests.

Kylie is absolutely adorable with that one soft ear. We think with a good diet both of Kylie's ears will stand tall. Kylie was never on puppy food, and German Shepherd's ears can be sensitive. Without the proper nutrients those ears won't stand up. Even if her ear never stands up you just don't get cuter than Ms. Kylie.

Its Kylie's first night in foster care. After a trip to PetPeople to buy some quality puppy food, Kylie pulls into her garage. Kylie's foster mom spends an hour going back and forth to the house, trying to find the right treat to coax her out of the car. Nothing is working! Canned puppy food, no. Chicken, no. Beef rib bone, no (unheard of!). Squeaky toy, no. Finally Kylie was tempted to jump out of the car. It was when she got a gander at her handsome and mild mannered foster brother! She got out slowly and tentatively, but you could tell she was infatuated! Kylie is going to take some patience and love and slow and kind introductions to the world outside her back yard. We're here to help her find that special family who can see she's well worth the effort.
