Lakota
Lakota is a beautiful two year old classic female German Shepherd.

On Lakota’s first night in interesting games with dora her foster home, she slept quietly in a crate next to her foster mom’s side of the bed. She seems to be housebroken, and she loves to be with people. Lakota loves to trot along at your side on a walk and has very good manners on the leash. She is also happy to lie by your side while you go about your daily household activities, just enjoying the closeness of a caring human being. She sits, lies down, and comes on command. Lakota would make an excellent advanced obedience dog, or working dog of any kind, as she is showing herself to be quite intelligent and responsive.

Lakota is learning her canine social skills in her foster home. We believe she may never have had the opportunity to be with other dogs in her previous home. But, don’t worry, she is getting lots of practice now, as in her foster home she is living harmoniously with four other German Shepherds. Lakota is becoming a pack member in her foster home and loves the interaction and warmth of being part of a group.

Along with her social skills, Lakota has picked up quickly on crate training, doggie door usage, and the joy of a dog biscuit every so often. She sleeps quietly on a dog bed or in a crate and points her nose at the door when she needs to go out. Lakota weighes about 75 pounds. She loves feeding time! Lakota stands up and dances across the room on her back legs when breakfast or dinner is served!

Lakota is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. She will do best in a home where she has human companionship for most of the day.
