IMPORTANT-SAFETY FIRST!
Fast facts can be used as a guide to a dog's temperament, however every dog is an individual and will react to different situations in a unique manner. Although we do our best to evaluate a dog's temperament, we have not seen every dog in every possible situation. Please approach any unfamiliar dog with caution, particularly when you have children with you. Always ask an adoption counselor for guidance when interacting with dogs at adoption events or handlers for guidance with dogs in any situation, anywhere. Remember, safety first!

Maddie
Maddie is one of Juno's eleven puppies, and she's the last to find her home. Sweet, smart, and eager to please, Maddie is a little shy of strangers, and is looking for a family to help her build her confidence. She's been staying with SCGSR's favorite trainer, working on her socialization skills, and now all she needs is a family to build on that new foundation. Crate trained, housebroken, and savvy in basic commands, Maddie is great with dogs of all sizes, and is smart enough to learn to live with cats. She's a medium sized girl, and like any teenager, needs boundaries--even though that floppy ear makes her pretty adorable! Maddie would love to have other dogs as role models, but mostly, she's looking for YOU!

  • If you would like to meet Maddie, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.

  • Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.

  • The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.

  • Maddie at five months, just prior to her first adoption.
