Marley
Saved under the upcoming dora games to play
scariest scenario possible, Marley was scheduled to be euthanised within 12 hours because of underfunding of shelters and ignorance in some counties very close to where you and I live. This beautiful youngster was labled by a fearful animal control officer who brings in every large dog on a catch pole, which means they're automatically put on the euthansia list if their owners don't find them within 72 hours. Once those 72 hours are up, rescue has about 12 hours to get these dogs physically out of the shelter and to safety.
Marley and Trixie have been brought to safetly through the generosity of a sponsor. We're not sure if they're sisters or if Marley is Trixie's mom. From their photos they appear to be starving. Both girls have been treated unkindly and are trying so hard not to be scared and to accept the love they're getting in their foster home.
If you would like to meet Marley, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. All of our dogs are in foster care. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.
Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.
We do not have an adoption facility. All of our dogs are in foster care. The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
