Nikita
SCGSR received a about downloadable dora games plea to help a 12 week old purebred Dutch Shepherd puppy, who was dumped at the shelter. Obviously, after just a short time in his home, baby Nikita wore out his welcome. Somebody paid a pretty penny for Nikita without doing their research, thinking that dogs who are smart enough to be trained as police dogs must be pretty cool to have as a low maintenance accessory. This is why a lot of dogs who are bred to work and purchased because of their looks or macho reputation lose their homes early in life.

Nikita is absolutely precious. Typical of his breed, he is high energy, high drive, happy, and has an active and intelligent mind. Nikita wants to be with and please his people. His coloring is a stunning brindle, with beautiful alert eyes. Luckily our volunteer Hollie was available to rush to the shelter to save little Nikita. Now SCGSR will help find him a home who will appreciate his breeding and personality!

If you have applied with us for a working dog and are still looking, Nikita will fit your bill perfectly. Please contact Marcy for more information.

  • If you would like to meet Nikita, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.

  • Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.

  • The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
