  Sargeant
We were very sad to find out yesterday (June 15, 2007) that this incredibly beautiful 8 month old puppy is suffering from kidney failure. We immeditately put him on a special diet meant to help his kidneys do the best job they can, and we think we see progress already. We're not sure what happened to him. Did he eat one of the tainted dog foods? Another common cause is antifreeze, which smells good and tastes sugary to dogs, and just a little can cause kidney damage.
Sargeant has absolutely no idea that he's not healthy. He loves life, he's energetic, happy, loving, and great with other dogs. Sargent may even get along with cats he's so nice. He does have a bit of puppy exhuberance, and at nearly 80 pounds that can add up to a jump up or two.
We're hoping for a special family to come along for Sargeant, one who can keep him on his special diet and give him the care he deserves. Sargent certainly deserves to be happy and loved, even though his time on earth may be shorter than other dogs.
