Scout
Scout is about one year old, and he's a goofy puppy. He is really put together well. SCGSR received a plea from a rescuer in Yuma, Arizona. Scout had been adopted, but then returned to the shelter because an in-house vet test had shown him to be positive for heart worm. There was NO chance for Scout after this test and after being returned by his adopter. There was rescue, or there was euthanization. Scout's angel offered to drive him to us in San Diego and we had to give him a chance. Scout showed up at our vet's office, charming all the vet techs.

Scout has had two expensive lab tests that prove he doesn't have heartworm and never did. Our vet tells us that sometimes in-house heartworm tests give false positives.

Scout is happily playing with his five foster brothers and sisters and acting like the puppy he is! His foster mom looks at him and wonders how this handsome, social and loving guy got to the shelter, and waits to find the loving home that will nurture Scout for the rest of his long life!
