IMPORTANT-SAFETY FIRST!
Fast Facts can be used as a guide to a dog's temperament, however every dog is an individual and will react to different situations in a unique manner. Although we do our best to evaluate a dog's temperament, we have not seen every dog in every possible situation. Please approach any unfamiliar dog with caution, particularly when you have children with you. Always ask an adoption counselor for guidance when interacting with dogs at adoption events or handlers for guidance with dogs in any situation, anywhere. Remember, safety first!

Seeger
Seeger is a gorgeous red and black male, approximately 8 years old. Seeger is living with an SCGSR foster home, and loves being part of his foster family's daily routine. Quiet, loving, and low-key, Seeger has waited a long time for his forever home. This well-mannered gentleman loves people, and wants nothing more than to lay by your feet. Housebroken, crate trained, polite on a leash, Seeger illustrates all the benefits of adopting a mature dog: his gratitude and love will fill up your heart. He is calm and polite in the car and in the house, and is happy with one or two leisurely strolls around the neighborhood each day. Good with dogs of all sizes, even tiny ones, Seeger would fit in well with another dog, or would be delighted to soak up all your love as an only dog! If you're looking for a relaxed and sweet companion, Seeger is your dog.
A note from Seeger 06.29.11:
Hi Marcy,
I am doing wonderfully with my new doggie friend and my temporary family. Marie loves me very much and every night before going to sleep she give me kisses and caresses my head. Sunday, my new brother Luke and I went to the beach. I love to swim and it is so good for my back legs and hips. I was a nice boy and didn't cause any trouble. I stay with my mummy under the umbrella and watch the other kids play with balls. I myself chased the ball in the sand and it was so much fun. I am beautiful and all tan and will be ready for the adoption event on July 17. Hopefully I can find a home forever. Marie will be sad when I go but she will be able to help another kid like me.
Seeger
If you would like to meet Seeger, please fill out our online application. This is the starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.
Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.
The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
