Simon
If every dog were adopted from the shelter, there wouldn't be any need for rescues. We could spend our free time on the beach, socialzing and doing all the things normal people do. Simon was adopted from the shelter. He went for his neuter surgery so he could go to his new home. Before he came out of surgery, his "adopters" had found a different dog they liked better and called to say they didn't want Simon. We've seen this before, we call it "shopping." Simon is a very special guy. Each and every shelter worker felt Simon got a raw deal. Simon is loving, happy, friendly, loves other dogs, he's healthy minded and not submissive nor does he feel the need to be top dog. He's good with puppies, male and female dogs, and he's sweet but he won't take a lot of guff without giving a healthy correction. All in all we don't usually find as well adjusted a dog as Simon.
Simon rides and stays in the car with ease. He crates, he shares food with other dogs, he takes treats politely and he's generally happy to be treated well. Simon is the type of dog we love to help, and we know Simon's next home will be his forever home. Simon has an intense look in his photos, but he's a quiet dog and doesn't need a lot to be happy.
