IMPORTANT-SAFETY FIRST!
Fast Facts can be used as a guide to a dog's temperament, however every dog is an individual and will react to different situations in a unique manner. Although we do our best to evaluate a dog's temperament, we have not seen every dog in every possible situation. Please approach any unfamiliar dog with caution, particularly when you have children with you. Always ask an adoption counselor for guidance when interacting with dogs at adoption events or handlers for guidance with dogs in any situation, anywhere. Remember, safety first!

Tara
Tara is a beautiful girl. She loves the other dogs in her foster home. She's so smart she can literally open a closed door by using the doornob, so Tara will need a secure home! She's housebroken, quiet, she likes her crate and she takes treats nicely. Tara also uses a doggie door and rides well in the car. Tara tested well on her initial cat test at the shelter.

  • If you would like to meet Tara, please fill out our online application. This is the looking for dora games starting point in adopting from SCGSR. We strive to keep our website current within 24 hours. If you see a dog on our site, it is most likely available. The more information you give us about your dog experience, your home, your fence, children and other pets, the better we can do to match you with one of our dogs. Keep in mind that we may be working with prior applicants.

  • Our adoption donations are tax deductible and range from $300 to $500. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and in most instances they will be microchipped. To those big hearted people willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems, we will work with you on adoption donation amounts.

  • The adoption process involves an application, a telephone interview, a meeting with our dogs and then a home and fence check. In certain cases photos of your house and yard may be substituted for a home check.
